The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands informs this Wednesday that 80.13 percent of the target population of the archipelago (that of more than 12 years that amounts to 1,960,774 people) is already vaccinated against COVID-19, since there are already 1,571,260 people who have received the complete vaccination schedule.
If the initial target population (those over 16 years of age) in the Canary Islands is taken as a reference, 83.95 percent are already immunized.
Thus, the Nursing teams of the Canary Health Service have administered 3,046,325 doses of vaccines against COVID-19.
In the archipelago, 83.60 percent of the target population (that of more than 12 years that amounts to 1,960,774 people) is already vaccinated against COVID-19, since there are already 1,639,234 people who have received, at least one dose of the vaccine.
This means that 87.61 percent of those over 16 years of age (who were the target population when the campaign began) have at least one dose.
At present, groups from 1 to 7 (residents and health and social health personnel of residences; health personnel; large dependents and main caregivers; vulnerable people; groups with essential functions such as teachers and policemen and people with very high risk conditions) are already vaccinated with two doses between 99.5 and 100%.
As for the rest of the groups, those in group 8 -people between 60 and 65 years old-, 82.73 percent have at least one dose and 63.23 percent the complete regimen.
People between 50 and 59 years old, corresponding to group 9, have 95.70 percent with at least one dose and 96.28 percent with a complete regimen and group 10, people between 40 and 49 years old, have a 59.50% with at least one dose and 77.05% with the complete regimen (including those immunized with Janssen, which is a single-dose vaccine).
In group 11, people between 30 and 39 years old, 64.09 percent have at least one dose and 59.01 percent, complete regimen and group 12, corresponding to people between 20 and 29 years old, 59 , 26 percent with one dose and 53.59 percent with the complete regimen.
For group 13, of people between 12 and 19 years old, 73.82 percent have a dose and 63.69 percent the complete regimen.
