Provisional prison for the father of the two German children abducted in Tenerife

The magistrate who instructs the proceedings has agreed to his entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of international child abduction.

Subsequently, the investigated went to the disposition of the Court of Violence Against Women number 2 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to be heard in a statement for the alleged commission of another crime, this one of threats.

The man and the two children were found in good condition at the end of August in the Portuguese town of Caldas da Rainha, a municipality located just under 100 kilometers from Lisbon.

The man, of Albanian origin but living in Germany, traveled to Tenerife with his two children in December 2020, while his partner filed a civil complaint in the German country in January 2021, although at no time, sources from the In this case, a search warrant for child abduction was registered.

Faced with this complaint, in May the Investigating Court number 2 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife called him to appear with the minors, a fact that occurred in June and that was when a sentence was handed down and he was given ten days to deliver the children to his partner, time that expired on June 21.

However, the man fled to Lisbon. Because she did not know the whereabouts of her children, the mother traveled to Spain to file a complaint for mistreatment, while the court urged the National Police to investigate the case in August.
