SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to Puerto de la Cruz and the Main Post of Icod de los Vinos, on the island of Tenerife, have arrested a man and investigated four others as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime upon discovering almost 1,000 plants on a Los Silos farm.
The arrest took place after the agents had knowledge of a possible marijuana plantation in the municipality of Los Silos, for which the necessary investigations were carried out, being able to locate and dismantle it on August 9, in the case of a fairly large farm. extensive that was camouflaged under the appearance of carrying out typical agricultural tasks of the region.
Specifically, the agents seized a total of 905 plants of up to four different forms of THC-type Cannabis, which yielded a total gross weight of 260,000 grams, as well as numerous utilities and high-tech elements for the cultivation of cannabinoids, as reported the Civil Guard in a press release.
Based on the elements collected, the agents carried out on August 10 an entry and search at the home and annexed units of the farm, being able to locate, dismantle and apprehend a complex structure of drying, treatment and processing of cannabis that included a multitude of machinery of High technology and specification to produce various derivatives of the cannabis plant: marijuana buds and dried leaves, hashish resins, hashish oils and pollen, with a total value of 28,985 euros.
152 marijuana plants, 16,400 grams of marijuana buds and dried leaves prepared for retail sale and various cannabis associations based on the island were also located with an approximate retail value of 98,564 euros, as well as 63.5 grams of euro hashish resin and 10.5 grams of pollen.
For all these reasons, a citizen, of Italian origin and settled in the region of Isla Baja, has been arrested, as well as the investigation of four men, natives of Tenerife, who allegedly participated in the activities carried out, although new ones are not ruled out arrests and investigations as a result of the investigation phase of the procedure.
