SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The board of directors of the Tenerife Breast Cancer Association (ÁMATE) has warned of some “important delays” in the attention of consultations, operating rooms and pathological anatomy, before which they have shown their “great concern” about the current situation of hospital and surgical care for breast cancer.
In this way, they have reported through a statement that they have received “many” calls with complaints, which have commented that, in the absence of operating rooms, the wait to be operated can be up to three months.
To this, they have added that they are aware that the current health situation is extraordinary and that “all the necessary resources must be used to try to overcome it” but, “cancer also kills”, so they ask that all resources be allocated that are necessary for the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of this disease.
