The program Tenerife Solidarity Island managed by Sinpromi, has launched a assistance service for migrants on the island. It will do so in collaboration with volunteer organizations that work directly with the migrant community, offering them information, advice and guidance on available resources on migration.

The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Nauzet Gugliotta, explains that its purpose will be to “facilitate the normalization and social inclusion of migrants in an integral way, from the social point of view, with health or education as actions but also access to culture or sports ”.

The services that will be provided are specified in the advice and referral to migration resources in Tenerife and also advice on the management and processing of resources. In addition, they will be offered training in the Spanish language and the possibility of collaborating with volunteer actions as a means of social inclusion.

The volunteer entities attached to Tenerife Isla Solidaria that work with this group will be offered referral services for migrants, depending on the demands detected and the resources available.
