On the morning of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, a serious traffic incident occurred in Tenerife. A head-on collision between two vehicles on the TF-5 road, at kilometer 65 in the municipality of San Juan de la Rambla, left two people moderately injured, necessitating a swift response by the archipelago’s emergency services. At 09:19, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received a call alerting them about the crash. Necessary resources were immediately mobilized, including two medicalized ambulances, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), Tenerife Fire Consortium personnel, Civil Guard officers, and Roads Service staff.

Firefighter and emergency medical intervention

Upon arrival, firefighters extracted the injured from the vehicles involved, secured the area, and cleared the road to restore traffic safety. SUC medical teams treated a 70-year-old woman at the scene, who had upper and lower limb trauma. Her condition was classified as moderate, and she was transported to Bellevue Hospital in a medicalized ambulance. The second victim, a 66-year-old man, also suffered an upper limb trauma. His similarly moderate condition required transport to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands in a basic life support ambulance. The Civil Guard was responsible for conducting investigations related to the incident and managing traffic, which was partially affected on this busy northern Tenerife road. The coordinated effort of various emergency bodies was crucial in attending to the injured and normalizing the situation as quickly as possible.
