The planned route started at the church square, from 2:00 PM, and included the participation of thirty carts, 10 wagons, and 25 folklore groups.

The Mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, who took part in the festivities, highlighted that “these types of celebrations are always a source of pride for the entire population of the municipality, thanks to the numerous people who participate in this pilgrimage, the groups that contribute their musical quality, and the various generations of locals attending this event properly dressed in their traditional costumes“.

The Romería of San Isidro, which also included the Dance of Guamasa, started from the mentioned square, on Santa Rosa de Lima path, to pass through the main road of the North, the connection of El Boquerón, the Acacias promenade and returning to the path of Santa Rosa de Lima.

The dance

At the end of the Romería, the usual dance is planned for Sunday afternoon and evening, which this time is enlivened by the groups Los Cadetes and Gomeray.

The romería calendar

Remember that to check all the festivities, the Island has a mobile application, Romerías.app, created by the Casa de Los Balcones in La Orotava. Romerías.app allows users to check an updated calendar of romerías, romero walks, and mage dances classified by island and municipality.
