An 80-Year-Old Man and a Five-Year-Old Child Hit by Mobility Scooter in Tenerife

A man, 80 years old, and a child, 5 years old, have been injured of varying severity after being hit by a motorcycle for people with reduced mobility in Adeje, on the island of Tenerife, according to the 112 Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center.

The incident occurred on Valencia Street in Adeje at 14:43 and staff from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene. They confirmed that the rider of the motorcycle for people with reduced mobility, 80 years old, had moderate traumatic injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

The SUC staff also assisted the 5-year-old minor who, at the initial moment of care, had mild injuries and was transported by ambulance to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

Local Police agents were also present at the scene to conduct the relevant proceedings.
