Arona Local Police agents, in Tenerife, arrested two men who allegedly stole 25 bottles of alcoholic beverages from a supermarket in the centre of Los Cristianos.
After receiving the alert around 5.00 in the morning, several patrols headed to the supermarket and found one of the suspects next to the shattered outer glass of the establishment, which had been violently broken.
This individual attempted to flee but was intercepted by the officers on the scene, as detailed by the City of Arona.
A few minutes later, thanks to help from the public, a second individual hiding at a nearby bus stop was located. Two bags filled with bottles of alcohol were found nearby, along with a backpack containing more bottles and documents linked to the first suspect.
The suspects, both with previous police records, are believed to have used a blunt object to break the glass of the premises and take the bottles, which were later handed over to the establishment’s management.
