Interurban Transportes de Tenerife (Titsa), a subsidiary of the Cabildo de Tenerife, accommodated 20,150 passengers during the pilgrimage of Tegueste, which took place last Sunday. This figure indicates a 3.7% rise in travellers compared to the previous year, when 19,422 individuals participated.
In this regard, line 052 (connecting the Laguna-Tegueste to Socorro) registered the highest number of riders, totalling 11,560, representing a minor decline of 4% from last year. Meanwhile, line 051 (the circular route around the lagoon) carried 3,377 passengers, reflecting an increase of 16.6%.
Additionally, line 050 (linking Laguna-Tegueste-Bajamar-Punta del Hidalgo) welcomed 5,213 users, which marks a rise of 16.3% compared to 2024, as noted by Titsa in a statement.
Titsa implemented a special arrangement for this event, providing direct services between the Laguna interchange and Tegueste via Ronda, from 10:00 to 01:30 hours. This included additional departures and changes to the standard route of some lines.
