The Cabildo de Tenerife has suspended the Insular Emergency Plan for Tenerife (PEIN) as of Friday, following the restoration of telephone communications and the conclusion of the alert situation that had impacted essential supplies since last Monday.
Following the initiation of the Civil Protection Emergency Territorial Plan of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands (Platca) by the Canary Islands Government on Monday to ensure oversight of potential disruptions to essential supplies, as well as the update provided that very day regarding issues affecting telephone communications, the Cabildo de Tenerife mobilised resources to address the situation on the island.
Consequently, once the Canary Islands Government rescinded Platca on Wednesday, the deactivation process by the Insular Corporation was carried out.
