The Cabildo de Tenerife, via the Tourism Area, External Action, and Institutional Relations, is set to approve on Wednesday in the Governing Council the Inter-administrative Agreement between the Cabildo and the City Council of Realejos for the implementation of the works included in the project ‘Enhancement and adaptation of the Tourist Information Office of the Old Casco de los Realejos’ as part of the renewal programme for tourist information offices under the Net Programme “Improvement of the tourist product” of the Medi-Fdcan.
The Vice President and Minister of Tourism, Lope Afonso, underscores that the total investment reaches 210,137 euros, with the government contributing 151,909 euros and the City Council of Realejos contributing 58,227 euros.
Afonso emphasises that the agreement allows for “efficient financing mechanisms through automatic deductions from the municipal contribution and establishes new branding and service standards in tourist offices.”
Through this initiative, he asserts in a statement, “the Realejos enhances its position as a key tourist destination on the island.”
