Madrid/Santa Cruz de Tenerife 27 APR. (Press Europa) –

The Canary Islands will experience slightly cloudy conditions, except for periods of clearer skies in the north of the mountainous islands during the afternoon, based on the forecast from the State Meteorology Agency (AEMET).

In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the day will unfold with some cloudy intervals in the northern and western regions during the early hours, as well as towards the end of the day.

Temperatures will see minimal fluctuations, and a moderate wind will blow from the north, with strong gusts expected in the eastern and western parts of the mountainous islands.

Across the country

Maximum temperatures are projected to rise significantly this Monday in the northern third, especially in the Cantabrian and Iberian regions; conversely, the maximum values in the southern peninsular third and Mediterranean regions will decline.

Minimum temperatures will drop in the northeast and southeast of the peninsula, while rising in other areas, according to the State Meteorology Agency (AEMET).

Of note are the orange alerts activated for ocean swells and wind gusts in Andalusia, which could be quite strong in Cádiz province and the surrounding areas.

A stable day is anticipated under the influence of a broad ridge, with clear skies prevailing and some high cloud intervals expected.

The north-eastern peninsula and the Balearic Islands may see evolving cloudiness in the afternoon, with isolated showers not being ruled out. In the Canary Islands, there will be cloudy intervals in the north of the islands, while the rest will be mostly clear or slightly cloudy. Morning fog banks are probable in northern Burgos and the interior of the Basque Country.

Light to moderate winds are anticipated, predominantly from the east and south. A moderate section in Ampurdán and Menorca will tend towards stronger winds.

In Alborán, moderate Levante winds will be observed, with intervals of strong gusts, particularly in the interior of Cádiz province, and potentially affecting nearby areas of Málaga and Seville.

The Canary Islands will continue to experience moderate breezes with strong intervals in exposed areas, and very strong gusts may occur locally.
