Santa Cruz de Tenerife 21. (Press Europa) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has commenced the application period for a financing opportunity of €200,000 intended for the implementation of programmes aimed at enhancing the quality of sheep, goat, and beef milk, as well as products produced in dairy centres and artisanal cheeses in Tenerife.
This was revealed by the Minister for the Primary Sector, Valentín González, who stated, “The quality of cheese produced in Tenerife has become exceptional, with its unique characteristics deriving from the raw materials utilized, specifically the milk from native cattle and the production practices that expertly blend tradition, hygiene, and oversight in their manufacturing.”
The allocation of this financial support is €150,000 for sheep and goat milk and €50,000 for the initiative focused on improving the quality of beef milk, as noted by the corporation.
Individuals or organisations conducting their activities on the island of Tenerife, who submit and apply with a programme to enhance the quality of milk they produce, are eligible.
The funding may cover administration costs, technical consultancy, training expenditures, implementation and monitoring audits, as well as expenses associated with quality and analytical assessments.
