Santa Cruz de Tenerife 21. (Press Europa) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife has made all the pathways of the Teide National Park available to the public, with the exception of trail number 10 Bravo Telesforo, following the removal of ice and snow and the enhancement of their accessibility.

Last Wednesday, four trails were reopened and from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, access to the 7th Blanca-Pico-Pico Mountain Sender and Path number 11 Mirador de la Fortaleza will be permitted.

However, trail number 10 Bravo Telesforo remains completely closed to the general public.

This restriction does not apply to individuals with a valid mountain federation card and authorised professionals and tourism companies, who must meet specific criteria to gain entry.

Individuals holding a valid mountain federation card are required to possess essential winter gear (technical clothing, crampons, and piolet).

Additionally, they must be registered on the Tenerife On application and seek the necessary permission.

Likewise, access is granted to businesses and individuals in the free exercise of their profession, provided they are registered in the Tourism Registry of the Canary Islands Government under the categories of hiking, mountaineering, and/or trekking activities on the island of Tenerife. They may guide groups of up to a maximum of 15 individuals per guide.

Furthermore, guides must possess the accreditation to operate within the Teide National Park and the required qualifications for this professional role, as detailed by the town hall in a statement.

All participants in the activity (guides and visitors) must have essential winter equipment (technical clothing, crampons, and piolet) as a requirement.

They will also have to be registered on the Tenerife On application.

In addition, the Cabildo de Tenerife has reopened four forest tracks on Monday that were impacted by the ‘Olivier’ storm.

Specifically, the traversed back track has been opened (from the TF-24 road to the kilometre marker on the GR-131); the Seven sources track (in the section that remained accessible), on the route to Candelaria (Aguamansa section to the crucita from the GR-131 to TF 24) and the track at kilometre point 29 (from the TF-21 road to the shepherds’ stone).
