In the early hours of Saturday, two women sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in on the General Highway of Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife, was involved in an accident, as reported by the 1-1-2 Canary Islands service.
The incident took place at 4:55 am when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received a notification regarding a vehicle veering off the road and colliding with a lamppost.
Emergency personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene to attend to the two individuals affected.
One of the women initially presented with a moderate head injury and was subsequently transported via a medicalised ambulance of the SUC to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
The other individual sustained several moderate injuries and was taken in a basic life support ambulance of the SUC to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.
The Tenerife consortium’s firefighters assisted in the emergency response, while the Local Police conducted the necessary attestations.
