The City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has launched a real-time consultation system regarding the availability of parking spaces at Las Teresitas beach, which became operational yesterday afternoon via the municipal website. This tool allows you to check the number of available spaces in the various parking areas from any mobile device.

After weeks of testing with new dynamic signs, the initial display is now situated at the entrance to the beach. The aim of this initiative is to minimise queues in the bathing area, particularly during weekends and holidays when the weather is pleasant, as well as to enhance mobility and accessibility in this coastal location.

On the municipal website, you can check the availability of spaces in both the main parking area, which has 355 spaces, and the sand parking, with 963 spaces, totalling 1,200 spaces.

The occupancy level is indicated using a traffic light colour system:

  • Green – less than 60% occupancy
  • Yellow – between 60% and 80%
  • Red – more than 80%

Additionally, there are designated spaces for the Red Cross, loading and unloading, ambulances, individuals with reduced mobility (PRM), maintenance, local police, motorhomes, and taxis.

This information enables beachgoers to ascertain availability before departing from their residences, thereby avoiding unnecessary trips and queues.

The local council also reminds users that utilising public transport, such as Line 910 from Guaguas, remains a recommended option, especially during Holy Week, weekends, and nice weather, when the service is generally enhanced.
