A driver has tragically lost their life this Tuesday after veering off the road while travelling along the TF-24 route in La Orotava (Tenerife). They fell down a slope of several metres, as communicated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112.
A medical helicopter and an ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) were sent to the scene of the incident, which occurred near the observatory on the TF-24. The medical personnel confirmed that the individual was in cardiorespiratory arrest and attempted basic resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately without success.
Furthermore, the emergency response involved the Tenerife Fire Consortium, members from the Immediate Response Team in Emergencies (ERIE) of the Spanish Red Cross, as well as personnel from the National Park’s Environment division.
The Civil Guard took charge of carrying out the necessary procedures.
