It is not incorrect to suggest that Santa Cruz thrives on festivities. The Carnival and, without pause, Holy Week along with the principal parades are yet to take place, yet on Monday, the draw that established the order of the parade in the Queen’s selection gala for the city’s festival events was already celebrated.
Andrea Casanova Tavío from the Cultural Association Tajar will be the first participant among the 35 aspiring candidates. It must be noted that the organisation had to enforce a maximum quota based on the order of registration, as more candidates registered than the criteria allowed.
The event is scheduled for Friday 25 in the Plaza de la Candelaria, under the artistic guidance of Paula Álvarez. It will include a production by Yeray Piñero, alongside Fran Romero serving as the choreographic advisor for the young participants.
