The Organising Committee of the Congress of the Popular Party of Tenerife has announced on Tuesday the candidacy of Lope Afonso as the only contender attending the gathering of the popular party in Tenerife, which is scheduled for May 24.
The president, Luz Reverón, confirmed Afonso as the solitary candidate, having met all statutory criteria, following the closure of nomination deadlines.
Luz Reverón elaborated that the subsequent milestone for this congressman will be the convening of local assemblies to elect the compromisarios who will attend the Congress in May.
“I lead a project dedicated to unity and cohesion to create a stronger party, positioning itself as the primary choice for Tenerife in the 2027 elections,” Afonso stated in a release.
He expressed that “the Popular Party’s initiative aims to establish a method of governance that is devoid of noise, concentrating instead on providing certainty and trust to citizens through effective management and dedication to the public.”
