The Cabildo de Tenerife, via the Ministry of Youth and Training, unveiled the new ‘Merkarte’ training initiative for the 2025 period on Tuesday.
Since its establishment, ‘Merkarte’ has become an essential platform for promoting and showcasing creative talents.
With over twenty years of experience, the project has adeptly adjusted to the challenges posed by an increasingly globalised and digital cultural landscape, evolving in line with the needs of emerging artists.
The Minister of Youth and Training, Serafín Mesa, clarified that the aim of the programme is to enhance professional skills, broaden networking opportunities, and elevate the visibility of young talent on the island.
“This initiative is built around a clear vision: to cultivate a robust artistic community that is interconnected with the international cultural dialogue and capable of generating an impact on the local creative economy,” stated the minister.
The programme encompasses specialised workshops, short training sessions, intensive courses, and discussion forums that focus on technical and technological tools essential for key competencies in professional development, such as entrepreneurship, communication, and digital marketing.
The activities are designed to cater to both novices and seasoned creators, encouraging ongoing learning and professional advancement within the sector.
