This Monday, the Tacoronte City Council announced that it is taking various measures to ensure the restoration of services impacted by the collapse of the Teobaldo Power street bridge, one of the most heavily trafficked routes in the area.
Currently, staff from the Ferroser company are engaged in efforts to restore public lighting along Fernández Ocampo, César Galán, Casilda Museum, and Callejón Transversal Teobaldo Power, which has been in darkness since last night due to the bridge’s fall over the Granados ravine.
As per information provided by Endesa, the electrical supply in the vicinity is currently operating without any issues.
Meanwhile, a separate team from Teidagua successfully reinstated the supply of drinking water a few hours after the incident affected fifty homes near the site.
Despite this, in order to ensure the reliability of adjustments made to the supply network, a decision has been made to maintain a drinking water source in the area so that it can be directly provided to the residents who have been affected if necessary.
Throughout this situation, Teidagua has also been working on the sewage services in the locality, implementing a ‘by-pass’ on Sebastián Machado street to redirect wastewater that had been left uncontrolled due to the hole created by the bridge collapse.
In addition, a temporary wastewater pumping system has been established to connect a small group of homes to the public sewer system, thereby preventing any uncontrolled discharge into the ravine channel.
