Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 14 April. (Press Europa) –
The Vice President of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Lope Afonso, has officially announced his candidacy for the leadership of the Popular Party of Tenerife during a presentation of guarantees submitted to the chair of the Organising Committee of the Congress, Luz Reverón.
Afonso provided over 500 guarantees, well above the requisite minimum of 80 needed to endorse a candidacy for the party’s presidency, ahead of the Congress scheduled for 24 May in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
According to Lope Afonso, “the significant support from the members for my candidacy is a motivation that drives us to diligently work towards reinforcing the Popular Party of Tenerife’s vision, to establish it as the preferred party in Tenerife; a victorious party that becomes a beneficial tool for enhancing the lives of the citizens of Tenerife and the Canary Islands.”
