Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 14 Apr. (Press Europa) –
The Tacoronte City Council announced on Monday that it is implementing various strategies to ensure the restoration of services impacted by the collapse of the Teobaldo Power street bridge, which is one of the busiest arteries in the municipality.
Consequently, employees from the Ferroser company are persistently working to reactivate public lighting along Fernández Ocampo, César Galán, Casilda Museum, and Callejón Transversal Teobaldo Power, which have been in darkness since last night due to the structure’s fall into the Granados ravine.
According to the information provided by Endesa, the electricity supply in the surrounding area remains stable and unaffected at this time.
Meanwhile, another team from Teidagua successfully restored access to drinking water just hours after the supply was disrupted for fifty residences located near the incident site.
Nevertheless, in anticipation of ensuring the viability of the adjustments made to the supply network, it has been decided to maintain a supply of drinking water in the area to potentially provide this resource directly to the affected residents as needed.
Throughout this incident, Teidagua has also continued to manage the sewage service in the vicinity, implementing a ‘by-pass’ on Sebastián Machado street to redirect wastewater that had been left uncontrolled in the void created by the bridge’s collapse.
Additionally, a temporary wastewater pumping system has been set up to connect a small cluster of homes to the public sewer system, preventing uncontrolled discharge into the ravine’s channel.
