Danger of detachment of the balconies, falling rubble and glass from some skylights of the portals, chips and various dampness or the lack of decoration and maintenance in general. These are some of the construction pathologies suffered by the residential building located in Paseo Marruillo, number 1, in Añaza, in which more than 70 homes are distributed. The poor state of the same has led the urban discipline services of the Municipal Urban Planning Management to order the majority owner of this property, which is the Government of the Canary Islands, to undertake the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the neighbors.
The 32-year-old building is of an open type with a central courtyard, received a visit from municipal technicians on December 2, where they verified all the deficiencies listed.
After the visit, the Municipal Urban Planning Management issued a resolution addressed to the owner so that he could proceed to install a properly anchored exterior anti-hull protection mesh, which sufficiently covers all areas with danger of debris detachment from the facades, especially in all areas. curved balconies with visible cracks and danger of falling rubble, as well as on the roofs of stairwells with skylights that present degradation and danger of material and glass detachments. The cost of this insurance is 3,000 euros.
The technicians also point out that an exhaustive review of the entire exterior of the property must be carried out, including cladding, finials, projections, overhangs, locksmithing and exterior carpentry and proceed to the cleaning and / or security removal if necessary. The security measures must be directed, designed and supervised by a competent technician and may be replaced by other equivalent and equally effective, always after study.
