The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands announced on Wednesday that, effective from today, 9 April, at 8:00 p.m., and continuing until 11 April at 06:00 hours, there will be a complete closure of both lanes of the TF-1 in both directions, between kilometre points 60+280 and 64+270.
This closure is necessary to facilitate the ongoing works for the installation of the prefabricated beams of the Semienlace de Chafiras, as part of the construction of the third lane of the TF-1, specifically the San Isidro to the Americas section. Ortoteanda to the Las Chafiras link, as detailed in a government statement.
During the works, traffic will be diverted within the high and low Chafiras area between exits 62 and 64, to ensure smooth traffic flow in the region and to minimise the impact on road users.
The General Directorate of Road Infrastructure urges drivers to exercise extreme caution, as well as to adhere to traffic signage and instructions from personnel to ensure safety in the vicinity throughout the duration of the works.
