The Boto de Letras festival will take place in the Plaza del Cristo in La Laguna on May 9 and 10, during which attendees can enjoy comedy and musical performances. Comedians and television personalities such as Lalachus, Grison, and Sergio Bezos will showcase their finest material, as stated by the event organisers.

The festival’s organisers highlight that, now in its thirteenth edition, it has evolved into a much-anticipated cultural event, touring various municipalities across the Canary Islands and even reaching Madrid last November to commemorate World Philosophy Day.

‘Supplo of Letters’ is designed to cultivate a passion for writing, reading, and oratory skills. To achieve this, it employs diverse mediums including music, comedy, theatre, literature, lectures, and engaging workshops, as noted in their announcement.

Featured among the musical acts at this festival is the Uruguayan singer-songwriter cardellino, who has transitioned to a solo career after producing and composing for acclaimed artists such as Jorge Drexler and Nathy Peluso. The çantamarta trio will also be performing in the Canary Islands.

Adding a national touch is Carlos Ares, who has received acclaim for his “pilgrim” album, released in 2024. Additionally, the Canarian-Madrileño group Cupid, which recently released an EP featuring pop, indie, and trap music, will also grace the islands after a series of sold-out performances recently.

Lalachus, Grison, and Sergio Bezos, who have won over audiences with their edgy humour and charismatic presence on the popular RTVE programme, will bring their best acts to Tenerife.

The talent from the Canary Islands will be represented by Gran Canaria’s Delia Santana and Tenerife’s Ignatius Farray, alongside the live podcast “No, what goes!!”. Copy to the clipboard
