A man has lost his life and a woman has sustained serious injuries this Friday after their vehicle overturned on the TF-1, near Punta Prieta, in the municipality of Güímar, Tenerife, as reported by the 1-1-2 Canary Islands.
The incident took place at 3:21 p.m., when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert stating that a vehicle had rolled over multiple times on the road, leaving its occupants trapped inside after colliding with a guaguas marquee.
Ambulance personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the scene, where they confirmed that the man, who was driving the vehicle, had suffered injuries incompatible with life after the collision, leading to the unfortunate confirmation of his death. They also attended to the injured woman, who had managed to exit the vehicle, and transported her to the University Hospital Ntra. Mrs. De Candelaria, where she arrived in critical condition.
Firefighters were responsible for managing the injured vehicle and assisted alongside the other emergency services present.
The Civil Guard managed traffic on the road, carried out the necessary documentation, and took custody of the deceased until the judicial authorities arrived.
The road service was tasked with the cleaning and reinstatement of the road.
