The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through the Autonomous Party Organization, has canceled the concerts of Sabandeños Y Singers planned for the days December 29 and 30, “At the current level of sanitary restrictions that Tenerife has, and that they prevent the organization of this type of mass events ”, informed the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello.
Cabello stressed that the City Council has done everything possible to maintain the concerts “but given the proximity of the celebration dates and the uncertainty set by the Government of the Canary Islands, we have had to make this decision.”
A municipal note indicates that both concerts stood out in the city’s Christmas program, since as a novelty they were going to be held at the Juan XXIII sports center in the Ofra-Costa Sur district “and had generated great illusion among the residents of the area” according to City Hall.
He adds that Fiestas continues to work on the organization of the royal processions that will tour the five districts of the municipality on January 5 with the arrival of the Three Wise Men.
