The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through its department of works and infrastructure, under the direction of Councillor Javier Rivero, announces that tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26, the fourth phase of the renovations on La Rosa Street will commence. Consequently, various alterations to traffic flow will occur, which are essential for the continuation of the works. This includes changes to the directions on Santa Rosa de Lima and Santiago Streets, and the necessary removal of parking spaces to facilitate the process,” the councillor explained.

According to Rivero, “the start of this fourth phase of the redevelopment of La Rosa Street will encompass a new stretch of 75 metres between San Francisco Javier and San Vicente Ferrer Streets.” He added that “the primary aim of this phase is to initiate the excavation of the junction between San Francisco Javier Street and La Rosa Street’s drainage system, and subsequently, the work will proceed towards San Vicente Ferrer Street.”

“In order to ensure mobility during the construction,” stated the Councillor for Infrastructure, “changes to the traffic flow relating to the direction on Santa Rosa de Lima Street (between San Francisco Javier and San Vicente Ferrer) will be implemented,” clarifying further that “this aims to maintain the continuity of traffic from San Francisco Javier and assist with the exit of vehicles from garages and parking spaces within the affected zone.”

Additionally, the direction of traffic on Santiago Street (in the same area) will also be altered, to reroute traffic towards La Rosa Street, which consequently will necessitate the removal of some parking spaces to allow the works to progress.

It should also be noted that this phase will involve the entire width of La Rosa Street from the first Ravina passage to San Vicente Ferrer (excluding the intersection) and extending approximately 5 metres from the cross streets to the main street. The pertinent temporary signage has already been installed, along with appropriate barriers and protections, ensuring that these are sufficiently visible and clear to provide a comfortable, fluid, and safe experience for both drivers and pedestrians.

Furthermore, throughout the execution of this phase IV, the entrances and exits for the educational centres María Auxiliadora and CEIP Ossime Redondo will continue to be impacted due to the ongoing works. However, a safe access route for all users will be provided, either adjacent to the construction site or through an alternative route located on San Juan Bautista Street.

In conclusion, the Santa Cruz City Council appreciates the patience of residents, the educational community, and drivers for the inconvenience caused. They highlight the significance of this initiative for the enhancement of urban infrastructure and remind citizens that further details can be found on the municipal website or through the official City Council channels.
