The Santa Cruz Town Hall has enabled a car park with 49 places in two municipal lots with access from Buenaventura Bonnet street, located in the upper part of the renovated Las Indias park, in the Health-La Salle district. The total of both actions has involved an investment of 70,000 euros, in an area that demanded more parking.

Initially, 29 places were set up, of which two are for vehicles of people with reduced mobility, in an area of 820 square meters, in which the City Council invested more than 43,000 euros. In addition, a recess was made in the sidewalk to allow access, as well as provided with lighting by installing four projectors.

Subsequently, in another adjoining car park, on the same site, it has been completed with 20 more spaces, of which two are for vehicles of people with reduced mobility and one for recharging electric vehicles, with a total cost of 27,437.46 euros .

The first deputy mayor and mayor of Public Services, Guillermo Díaz Guerra, accompanied by the councilor of the Salud-La Salle district, Carlos Tarife, visited the new car park this week to verify the completion of this new action. Díaz Guerra has pointed out that “the City Council continues to carry out different projects that had been launched to improve this area of the city within that great work that has been undertaken on Avenida de Venezuela.”

The mayor of Public Services has pointed out that “we have made the best use of public space, responding to a demand from residents of this area, such as providing the environment with more parking spaces, in order to continue giving response to the problems of the neighbors and the improvements that our city needs ”.

The councilor of the Salud-La Salle district, Carlos Tarife, has indicated that “this new infrastructure will help to minimize parking problems at times of large influx of visitors and decongest traffic in this area of the capital.”

Finally, Tarife has highlighted that “works of these characteristics are very necessary to improve the quality of life of the neighbors and facilitate the access of citizens to this area, whose services have improved considerably in the last year”.
