Santa Cruz de Tenerife 24 Mar. (Europa Press) –
The former advisor of the Ministry of Transport, Koldo García, did not attend the Parliament of the Canary Islands on Monday, where he had been summoned to discuss the procurement of health supplies during the pandemic.
García and his legal representative declined to accept the notification from the National Police. As a result of his absence, the Regional Assembly will prepare a legal report to be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for a potential offence of disobedience.
García had previously been summoned in June of last year, but he could not be served the notification.
On Monday, the former Ministers of Tourism and Education, Yaiza Castilla and Manuela Armas, attended the session, and in forthcoming meetings, among others, the former Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos, and the current Minister of Territorial Policy and Canarian President, Ángel Víctor Torres, are expected to appear.
