Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 23 Mar. (Europa Press) –
The president of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo, extended his support this Sunday and expressed his wishes for “plenty of spirit and strength” to Ángel Víctor Torres, the Spanish Government’s Minister of Territorial Policy, who has revealed that he has operable cancer.
“As I have mentioned to you several times in recent weeks, plenty of spirit and strength @Avorres,” stated the regional president via his official ‘X’ account.
“I firmly believe you will make a swift recovery,” added Fernando Clavijo.
Joining in these words of encouragement was the regional vice president, Manuel Domínguez, who also conveyed his full support to the Canary Minister and expressed his hopes for his recovery.
“At this moment, what matters most is that you manage to overcome the illness as soon as possible,” he remarked on his ‘X’ account.
Political Support
The President of the Government of Spain and party colleague, Pedro Sánchez, praised Ángel Víctor Torres as “one of the most outstanding and dedicated public servants” he has encountered.
He also commended, in a message on ‘X’, that Torres is a “generous and caring individual, possessing immense human qualities.”
“Much encouragement, dear friend. We are all here for you,” he commented.
The Socialist and Finance Minister, María Jesús Montero, shared all her “affection and support” for Ángel Víctor Torres this Sunday, referring to him as “an exemplary public servant, a loyal companion, and a friend.”
“Spain is fortunate to have a minister of the calibre of @Avtorrest. We await your return!”
“Everything will turn out well. With you, always,” stated Nira Fierro, Secretary of Organisation of the Canarian PSOE, on her social media profile, where numerous messages of support for the current Minister of Territorial Policy have appeared this Sunday.
