The Stop platform has announced a peaceful demonstration taking place tomorrow, calling on all citizens to get involved. The aim is to demand solutions for Playa Jardín, where bathing has been deemed inadvisable since 3rd July 2024 due to sewage spills, alongside a plea for a clean and unpolluted sea.
The gathering is scheduled for 12.00 at Martiánez beach and will proceed along Colón Avenue, through Plaza Reyes Católicos, Paseo San Telmo, Zamora and Santo Domingo streets, Plaza de Europa, the fishing dock, Mequinez Street, Luis Lavaggi, Francisco Afonso Carrillo Avenue, Loro Park, and Garden Playa Avenue, ultimately reaching Punta Brava Pet to urge public authorities to take action.
Frustrated with countless empty assurances, justifications, and unfulfilled projects, the platform asserts that it is essential for citizens to rally in order to insist on a resolution that enables the “saving of Playa Jardín” and brings an end to the discharges once and for all.
