A 59-year-old man is in a critical state after sustaining a blow to the head on Aceviño street in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, as reported by the 112 Emergency Coordinating Centre of the Canarian Government on Sunday.
The incident occurred during the early hours of the morning, when 112 received a notification about a man who had suffered a head injury on the aforementioned street and required medical assistance.
At the initial stage of treatment, the man exhibited severe trauma and was transported via a basic life support ambulance to Hospiten Bellevue and subsequently to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC).
The personnel from the Canarian Emergency Department administered initial assistance at the site of the incident, and once his condition was stabilised, he was transferred to Hospiten Bellevue, where he was assessed and referred to the HUC.
The Local Police cooperated with the health services while the National Police initiated the necessary procedures.
