The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has detected a ‘seismic swarm’ consisting of 14 tremors that commenced last Tuesday evening, with 11 occurring within just over an hour.
The tremors, which were not felt by the local population, exhibited magnitudes ranging from 1.7 to 2.3, with their epicentre located offshore at depths varying between 9 and 41 kilometres.
