Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 12 Mar. (Europa Press) –

A man, of foreign nationality, has been saved with partial signs of distress at the beach of Punta Brava, located in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), as reported by the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (112).

The incident occurred on the afternoon of this Tuesday at the beach, where personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched following alerts about a person in distress in the specified area.

While emergency resources were en route, three surfers present in the vicinity approached the man to attempt a rescue, with another individual entering the water to assist them, ultimately managing to bring him back to shore through their efforts.

Upon reaching solid ground, the individual received care from SUC personnel, who determined he exhibited moderate signs of incomplete drowning, leading to his transfer by ambulance to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital.

At the scene of the incident, teams from the Tenerife Fire Consortium and local police officers also arrived to support the health services.
