Santa Cruz de Tenerife 10 Mar. (Europa Press) –

An 81-year-old man of Norwegian descent has been airlifted by the emergency and rescue group (GES) following health complications while on the Ifonche path in Adeje (Tenerife), as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.

The incident occurred on Sunday on the aforementioned trail, prompting the GES Helicopter to be dispatched after reports indicated a hiker was experiencing moderate health issues. He was subsequently transported to the North Tenerife airport.

Upon arrival at the airport, personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) took over his care and transferred the individual to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.

Meanwhile, firefighters from Tenerife were dispatched to the rescue site in case their assistance was required.
