Elizabeth Ledesma Crowned Carnival Queen of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2025

Elízabeth Ledesma Laker, showcasing the fantasy Connection designed by Alexis Santana and representing McDonald’s alongside Tenerife’s opinion, was crowned tonight as the queen of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2025. The gala, directed by Jep Meléndez, took place in the fairgrounds, which was filled to capacity with 7,000 spectators.

The honourable attribution was complemented by Laura Fernández Ruiz, donned in the outfit Drops of Heaven crafted by Sedomir Rodríguez and representing Dormitorum as the first lady of honour. The second lady of honour was Marta Pérez Baute, adorned in Heaven and You designed by Santi Castro, from the Añaza Carrefour shopping centre. Ainhoa Díaz Sánchez represented Alcampo La Laguna shopping centre as the third lady of honour, dressed in the fantasy Fontaine by designer Juan Carlos Armas. The box is completed by Michelle Castro Adrián, showcasing the theme Origin by Jorge González Santana, on behalf of Mediterranean Broker Insurance Brokerage.

The gala, themed The Secrets of Africa, extended over a period of two and a half hours within a fully packed fairground that was exuberantly engaged during the parade of candidates. Presenters Lara Álvarez and Alexis Hernández led a show that was described as “highly thrilling and rich with references to the African continent, showing utmost respect for its culture.”

The panel that selected the new queen along with her four ladies of honour included Alejandro Palomo, the mastermind behind the Palomo Spain label; fashion designer María Escoté; Maya Hansen, a Spanish designer renowned for high-quality corsets; Marianela Hernández (Marilyn’s Closet), creator of Canarian content; Alberto Trujillo, a celebrated set designer for various carnivals across the Canary Islands; David and Miguel López, the designers and founders of Davide Leotards; Agustín Rubiales, the former president of the Culture Classroom of the Carnival of Cádiz and a distinguished figure known for his philanthropy; Lourdes Santana, Regional Director of Cadena Ser; Miguel Paule, Medical Director of Clinic Paule; and Verónica Rodríguez, appointed Queen of the Venezuelan Canary Hogar 2025.

Televisión Canaria aired the live gala across the entire archipelago, while TVE also broadcast it live for all of Spain via channel 2. The event was further covered by Spanish International Television Canal, ensuring that it reached audiences everywhere.
