SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Christmas Draw ‘has left a total of 400,000 euros in the east of La Palma with two fourth prizes, the 42,833, sold in Santa Cruz de La Palma, and the 91,179, in the municipality of San Andrés y Sauces.
Thus, the Christmas lottery has bypassed the Aridane Valley, the area most affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
One of the workers of the lottery administration of the capital of Palma has told ‘Televisión Canaria’ that this year the island deserved “100%” to win a prize. “It has not been much but we cannot complain,” he said.
He has commented that he had a feeling that they were going to give a prize and that no one of the winners has contacted the administration. “It was very necessary this year to give something, a joy at least”, in reference to the volcanic crisis that the island is suffering.
In San Andrés y Sauces, the owner, José, has confessed “happy and very excited” with the award. “It has been beautiful,” he indicated, recalling that in the past they already gave a third prize in 2015 and a fifth in 2006.
