Santa Cruz de Tenerife 21 Feb. (Europa Press) –
Maritime rescue services accompanied a Cayuco carrying 62 migrants, including seven women and a child, to the port of La Restinga (El Hierro) on Friday, after it was discovered 5 miles south of the island.
The vessel was detected by a Civil Guard Sive radar, prompting maritime rescue to deploy the Salvamar Acrux, which escorted them to the aforementioned location.
The migrants, all of sub-Saharan origin and reportedly in good health, reached the port at approximately 11:45 hours, as communicated by the state agency to Europa Press.
