The president of the Tenerife Sports Club, Paulino Rivero, announced his resignation on Wednesday, ahead of the General Board meeting on Thursday, aligning with his earlier commitment to vacate his position before 30 March.
In a press conference held solo at Heliodoro Rodríguez López, he expressed his desire to avoid any “power vacuum”, stating that his resignation will take effect once the new board of directors is formally established and the respective roles are appointed.
“We have operated during challenging times, consistently complicated throughout this period, which has been very intricate as the sporting situation has not been particularly favourable,” he remarked.
