A 75-year-old woman has suffered moderate effects due to smoke inhalation from a kitchen fire at her residence in La Laguna, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident occurred at 8:21 p.m. on Monday in a property situated on the San Miguel de Geneto road, in the rural area of the aforementioned municipality. Personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived and determined that the woman had moderate smoke inhalation, prompting her transfer by ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium also attended the site, undertaking the work necessary to extinguish the flames and ventilate the premises, while Local Police and National Police officers managed the appropriate proceedings.
