The lagoon has been infused with warmth and intricacies for the celebration of Valentine’s Day, thanks to the initiative Love is built, launched by the Department of Commerce. As part of this campaign, 3,000 boxes have been distributed among the shops in the municipality, each containing two chocolates for the establishments to gift to their customers, adding a sweet touch to Valentine’s Day.

In total, 6,000 chocolates have been shared through these gifts, accompanied by a sticker featuring the campaign’s motto. The Councillor for Commerce, Estefanía Díaz, emphasised that this initiative “aims to create a positive experience for the community, encouraging patronage of local shops while conveying essential values regarding human love and relationships. Our intention is to make Valentine’s Day not just a day of celebration, but also an opportunity for our local commercial scene.”

To enliven the initiative, 16 wickers and hostesses clad in campaign sweatshirts have roamed the streets and establishments of La Laguna, distributing 5,000 cards with messages underscoring the significance of nurturing relationships built on respect, dedication, and commitment.

Furthermore, 1,500 pacifiers adorned with the campaign emblem have been distributed at various locations throughout the municipality, providing a unique and symbolic element to the initiative.

Through this campaign, the City Council of La Laguna reaffirms its commitment to local trade on this important occasion, promoting an alternative Valentine’s experience grounded in intimacy, thoughtfulness, and the cultivation of love in all its forms.
