The city council of La Orotava, through the Department of Festivities directed by Alexis Pacheco, worked to date on two options to receive Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East on January 5, in La Orotava. One was with the traditional Parade through the streets of the urban center, after collecting letters in San Juan, and another was returning to the format of this 2021 in which the Kings visited all the neighborhoods of the municipality. Given the current health situation and taking into account the circumstances, the City Council opts again for the ‘Paseo Real’.

Mayor Francisco Linares announces that he himself will receive them first thing in the morning, at 8:00 a.m., at the Town Hall itself, so that from there they will move to the Doña Chana Cultural Park and prepare to start a tour of all the neighborhoods of the Villa. These days the different scheduled times of the tour will be announced on social networks.

The departure will be around 9:00 am from the Doña Chana Cultural Park to initially go to the areas of Las Dehesas and Las Cuevas, and will continue towards La Florida, Pino Alto, Pinolere, Bebedero Alto, Aguamansa, Cañeño, Camino Chasna, Benijos, Colombo, Barroso, Los Pinos, Camino Polo, La Piedad, Opuntia, La Vera, El Mayorazgo, San Miguel, Las Candias, La Luz, La Perdoma, San Antonio, La Fariña, Lercaro, Carmenaty and the old town area.

Between December 28 and January 4, the special pages of SSMM the Three Wise Men from the East will travel to different parts of the municipality to collect the letters loaded with illusions.

From the villera corporation, the collaboration of all citizens is requested so that the activity is developed in a responsible manner and complying with the preventive measures in force due to the high rate of infections by COVID-19. This calls for responsibility and offers a series of recommendations to avoid problems such as following the parade and greeting from the window or balcony; keep a safe distance, if you find them already on the street; wear a mask and stay away. Patience if you drive and they find the caravan. And it is forbidden to join the retinue of the Magi.
