Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 8th Feb. (Europa Press) –

A 70-year-old hiker of German nationality has sustained injuries this Saturday following a fall in Mountain Amarilla, located in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2.

The incident took place at approximately 2:33 p.m., when the 1-1-2 control room received a notification indicating that an individual required medical assistance after falling and being unable to continue their journey. Consequently, CECOES promptly activated the necessary emergency resources to respond in the area.

Upon arrival, firefighters from the Tenerife consortium undertook the rescue of the individual and facilitated their transfer to a medical facility.

The staff from SUC attended to the injured party, who presented with moderate trauma to a lower limb at the onset of assistance, and subsequently transported them by ambulance to Hospiten Sur.

Later, the Civil Guard managed the documentation related to the incident.
