Tacoronte increases the available public parking spaces by 20%

The Town Hall of Tacoronte, through the Works and Services area, has started improvement and conditioning work on four municipal parking spaces that will increase the number of places available by 20%, according to reports the local government (NC-PSOE-SSP). The spaces where it is intervened are located in Sea table, the commercial area of La Estación, the back of the town hall and the municipal cemetery.

The reorganization and improvement of these spaces, with resurfacing work and the placement of herringbone parking lots, allows achieving “a significant number of new spaces, which represent approximately 20% more than existed”, according to the mayor of Tacoronte, José Daniel Díaz Armas (NC).

The president recently visited the places where the works are being carried out, together with the Councilor for Works and Services, Antonio Gil Goya. And he remarked that “public facilities require decent parking, with good accessibility and security conditions, complying with all applicable measures and regulations.”

As for the parking at the back of the Town Hall, next to Hoya Machado park, Díaz Armas points out that it is about the «bureaucratic, cultural and ecclesiastical node of the municipality, through which hundreds of people pass every day, which already required facilities with greater reception capacity. In addition, he explained that in the commercial area a municipal lot has been fitted out that was used as a parking lot, but that it did not meet the appropriate conditions in terms of safety.

The mayor assures that in addition to now increasing the available parking spaces by a fifth, «from the City Council we are generating large parking bags in spaces to accommodate those who want to visit us. This is a schedule designed to Los Naranjeros or Agua García, where we are looking for suitable land ».
