Elvis Crespo has been announced as a new performer for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2025. The Puerto Rican artist will aim to enchant the carnival audience on March 8, as revealed by the official profile of Tenerife Carnival on Instagram.
Joining him will be the Argentine ensemble Burst and the esteemed musician and composer Wilfrido Vargas, a symbol of merengue on the international stage, who will also perform during the second Carnival Day.
Elvis Crespo is a well-known figure in the Canary Islands. With his hit Gently, he achieved record-breaking success in Puerto Rico and globally, earning a Grammy nomination in 1999 for Best Tropical Music Album. His track Pint me cemented his worldwide acclaim, and he has since remained one of the most beloved figures in merengue across the archipelago.
The local authorities have confirmed that they will reveal additional artists in the coming weeks.
