Ukrainian Resilience Leaves Island Sanitarians in Awe

In February 2022, following the Russian invasion, approximately 500 Ukrainian refugees took up residence in hotels located in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz. During that period, the local health centre in the botanical area, in collaboration with the Red Cross, provided them with medical assistance and noted a distinct profile: middle-aged women accompanied by young children, exhibiting signs of anxiety and displaying reluctance to discuss their emotions or share personal information.
