The head coach of Dreamland Gran Canaria, Jaka Lakovic, provided an update on the health of the Claretian players ahead of tomorrow’s derby against Tenerife Lagoon: “The circumstances have dramatically altered recently; we have experienced a fair amount of good fortune regarding injuries this season, even though we lost John Shurna for four to five weeks. The incident in Lithuania, resulting in a serious injury to Carlos Alocén, is unfortunately significant and will affect him as a player for an extended period. This challenge impacts not just him but also our squad and our overall project. Mike Tobey sustained a knock, but we are optimistic he will be available tomorrow. As for Joe Thomasson, he has slightly twisted his ankle, yet there is a chance he may return to play, and we are hopeful for his participation as well. We all wish for Carlos’s complete recovery and his swift and safe return. We are committed to supporting him throughout this journey, which will span around eight or nine months, and we will collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure he remains engaged and focused.”
